What is Your Hobby?

I remember when I moved to Colchester after living in London for many years, I started working part-time which was a shock to my system because I was used to working full time in London. My new work schedule gave me time to think, because now I had free time (this was before I had kids of course, can’t say that now). For the first time ever, I asked myself what I would like to do? deep down I already knew. I am going to have a garden. At that time, I was newly married and lived in a second floor flat with a little balcony. That did not stop me, I researched container gardening and I grew most things successfully including sweetcorn. I eventually moved to a house and I got an allotment, grew some veg and made amazing friends who were very generous. At present, I do have a small garden, I don’t spend as much time as I should to look after it properly.  That’s because I have new hobbies like blogging, but I still love gardening. I knew I enjoyed gardening because whenever I did it, I didn’t think about doing laundry, cooking, cleaning the house basically, I didn’t go through my to do list. I know you guys can relate.

I have a degree in Early Childhood Study and from a young age, I was passionate about babies and young children. I have worked in most early years setting you can think of. This was my passion and I thought it would be forever. Until I had twins and was put off kids. I know is sounds awful, but it is true.  I know that I was put off as a result of stress and losing my identity, it’s different now, I am regaining that passion, but this time, it is more for parents than it is for children. I feel like if I can help the parent, the child will be okay. Don’t get me wrong, I love kids and I am great with them (even if I say so myself) but I respect parents because raising children is not an easy task.

Hence why I encourage you to find a hobby, an outlet, something that takes your mind of your endless to do list. Speaking of to do list, always focus on doing the top three and give yourself a break. You guys are simply amazing. I know that my readers are receptive people, open to new ideas and will consider a different perspective. When you open your mind in this way, the whole world opens to you, it’s simply beautiful. Everything becomes less of a coincidence and more of a wow moment. It makes you excited about life and what’s coming next. I hope this post has been helpful. Let me know what your hobby or outlet is in the comment, I look forward to hearing it. Follow me on Instagram Facebook and here’s is a link to my free eBook.

Reading your blog, gave me a reason to pause and reflect on my hobby or what wes my hobby. Before marriage and kids, I love my crazy out of this world music. Now, I get lost watching what people called “rubbish TV aka real housewives ”
As a mum and counsellor, my rubbish TV, is now my hobby and a way to clear my head /distress. I call it “my time”
my friends and colleagues , say , ‘I am crazy’ , It is my outlet.
